American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation
Senator & Committee Chair

After being accepted to Hawaii Girls State, I was elected to attend Girls Nation as a Senator. At Girls Nation, I was elected and served my party as the Platform Committee Chair, rallying the members around our party’s mission, beliefs, and goals. Ultimately, I constructed and presented my party’s platform.

Party Chair & Elected Senator for Girls Nation

Art2Wellness

Founder & President

Art2Wellness is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and our mission is to provide children in Hawaii facing unique traumas and challenges—hospitalizations, homelessness, and other hardships—with access to art to promote wellness and provide a therapeutic outlet. With Hawaii’s incredibly high rates of homelessness and mental illness in mind, Art2Wellness has initiated a grass-roots approach providing youth with a space to find resilience, restoration, and healing through art. We provide Hawaii’s children with pre-packaged art kits, inspirational and empowering videos from certified therapists, student-created art lessons, and hopeful, caring cards through our Art Pals program.

Translation of Gill Paul's World War II Love Stories
Literary Translator

Gill Paul’s novel, World War II Love Stories, is composed of stories that focus on the silver lining of lives during a time of incredible hardship and distress. Understanding the agonizing pain Iran’s people are undergoing at this time and the forbidden right of expression, I translated this novel from English to Farsi, and am in the process of publishing it in Iran, to share with them the experiences of different cultures battling similarly intense conflicts. I aim to encourage hope, persistence, and a value for love, connection, and positivity.

I was enrolled in two of RISD’s summer courses, for a total of eight weeks: “Experiential Drawing” and “Art+Social Justice.” Using newly learned techniques, I produced eight art pieces based on my own personal artistic narrative, developed critique skills, and wrote statements about my artwork. I received an A grade in both classes.

CareerAll
Co-Founder & Vice President

CareerAll is a non-profit organization that aims to empower high school students with the knowledge and information required to choose their field of work. After we conducted a survey of over 120 students from different grades, regarding their goals, we determined that about 45% had no ultimate goals or ideas of careers they would pursue after high school. Knowing this, our team was inspired to start an organization that can serve as a resource for the community.
